The summer garden is full
of delights
To brighten your days and
enchant your nights
Roses and lavender mingle
together
Sunflowers and beans climb
as if to reach heaven!
A little red poppy blooms
for a day
Just passing through but
not here to stay
And yet on a new day there
will be poppies galore
Death isn’t the end - but merely a door.
Gladioli and lupins
blossom into tall spires
Sometimes at night I see
on them – faerie lights!
Yellow Admirals and
Monarchs dance on the breeze
And a dear little sparrow sings
cause he’s free
